Ribbon Pakoda (Type 1)

Ingredients:

Rice Flour 1 Cup
Bengal Gram Powder 1 Cup
Salt As Required
Red Chilli Powder 3 Tsp
Garlic Flakes 10
Oil 1/2 Big ladle for dough
Oil To Deep Fry
Til Seeds (skin removed white) 1 Tbl Spn

Preparation:

In a broad bowl put the rice flour and bengal gram powder. In a mixie put garlic flakes, red chillie powder and salt. Grind it with little water. Add that fine paste to the flour. Put the til seeds. Mix well with your fingers. Pour the hot 1/2 ladle oil and mix. Then add water and knead with your hands. Make it into thick dough. Heat the oil in a kadai. Using ribbon pakoda disc in murukku presser, squeeze directly in hot oil. Fry it till it becomes golden brown color.
